Jesse
Kingsley is the founder of The Mysterybird
Puppet Show. As a child he joined a senior citizen art group led
by Bob Niesson, where he trained as a figure sculptor. A splinter cell
of elderly woodcarvers taught him the subtractive arts. He uses these
skills to build puppets and put on shows.
His last show: "Bloodly Nicholas: The Last Tzar" was based on the fall of the Romanov dynasty. He is currently working on underwater shadow puppets for playwright Beth Burns, and a rod puppet version of Moby Dick.
